I heard a basketball coach once say that “defense is a necessary nuisance.” He was just trying to get a rise out of the audience he had at the time. Although, contrary to popular belief, I think defense is important. My theory of defense and a most other people’s theories are extremely different.With all of this agreed upon, I would like to introduce you to the NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
